3 New Animations

3 New Animations

I’ve just finished 3 animations for my regular client: Alpine Access.
They were created with the help of Voices.com. I use them for almost all of my voice over work. It’s really great getting to choose the actors and working with them to get the performances I’m looking for. I’d say it’s one of my favorite parts of the process.

After the voices are recorded. I create the entire sound timeline for the animation, using my imagination to interject sound effects, reverb, telephone EQ, etc. Once that is completed, I move on to the story boarding to sketch out the animation based on the script given to me by the client. Then I move into Adobe Illustrator and create all the working parts and artwork to be animated. They are all organized into layers and folders (for example: one folder called “Mrs. Andrea- front” will contain all the bits of her parts, arms, head, facial expressions, blinking eyes, mouth shapes for consonants and vowels, etc.)

Finally the artwork is imported into Adobe Flash, were I animate it all into a short cartoon. When it’s all done, I can also create a separate high definition video of the animation, such as these, on YouTube and Vimeo.

Robbie — these are awesome! Thanks for sharing them. One question — are you the voice of “Will” in The Professor bit? Had me kind of giggling, and I had to listen a couple times.

I miss collaborating with you and look forward to doing some long-distance stuff with you in the future. Peace — Jr.

Well spotted. I am the voice of Will. Sometimes it’s just cheaper and easier to do it yourself.
