Robin Soulier photographs puddles in the city. This might not seem like an obvious subject matter at first. However, upon closer examination of these images, it seems almost an obvious choice that has long been overlooked. Robin juxtaposes gloomy gritty concrete, brick and morter with brightly colored reflections of street art, sky, beautiful buildings and the occasional leaf, cigarette or can of spray paint, seemingly hovering in mid air. With so many “prosumer” photographers out there it is becoming increasingly difficult to be noticed in a world full of picture takers.
Robin seems to be jumping into the shallow water with both feet.
