My best and most favorite client, Carl Puccio, spent some money for a day of fun to give to all his freelance people as a thank you for a job well done on a year long project that recently came to a close. The day consisted of riding Segways around the lake, a fancy lunch at the very posh Frontera Grill and finally an afternoon on a sailboat called the Bumblebee; stocked with plenty of snacks, wine and beer for everyone.
Everything was fine until the weather turned rough and our tiny ship was tossed. At which point, I spent the rest of the boat ride trying to make sure my cookies weren’t tossed. I barely succeeded, rallied myself and we ended the day at an Italian restaurant for pizza and beer.
Petra missed the majority of the day, as she had to work, but ended up meeting us for dinner.
