Over a year in preparation, Katastrofist is 3 of the 4 members formerly from the band Ghettobillies. Robbie, Bong, and Maloney, with the addition of newcomer, but seasoned musician Tim Reid Jr. on the synth, piano, organs and vocals formed the band almost 9 months ago and after fine tuning an albums worth of material, are just now finishing their new demo to shop around to booking agents and promoters for shows.
Ideally this group would not be the touring behemoth as the GBs once were, but rather a handful of select dates and locations throughout the year would be booked. Currently they are looking for appropriate venues.
At the time of this blog post, we have “finished” 2 of the 4 demo songs that are posted on our myspace page for everyone to be able to get to listen to the new sound. Hopefully you like it. We’re pretty excited about it and can’t wait to make the floor shake once again.
