So it occurred to me that over the years, I’ve kind of been a vlogger without actually being official about it. One of the defining traits, in my opinion, of THAT format (versus what I’ve been doing) is that vloggers often talk to the camera to tell the audience what you’re thinking, doing, and bits of conversation. Basically more audio of the experience versus just nice clips with music attached. I’ve discovered that it can be much more engaging like that. Also, they are far more frequent than just once every month or so.
So with that in mind, I thought I’d do a little trial run to see:
a). how awkward it is to talk to a camera in public (the answer is VERY awkward at this point).
b). how time consuming it is to edit. (surprisingly not too bad) and
c). how much better it can be compared to just making “little music videos” of our experiences. I’ll let you guys be the judge.
This won’t be a daily vlog, but rather entries whenever I think something interesting is happening worth showing. No one wants or needs to see me silently staring at computer screens all day. So without further adieu, I give you my first “test-vlog“.
…and for the older folks who might be asking; Yes. That’s a combination of “video” and “blog”.
Sure, bring ’em on! Very professional.?
